Lola Bezemer

Visual artist Lola Bezemer makes performative installations that question the relationships between colour and form; between people and space; between artwork and audience; and the audience's relationship with itself. Her boldly coloured performance installations create moments in which she challenges notions of spatial and social connections. She dismantles social constructs and codes of conducts and makes the audience part of her work. This approach translates into works with a clear visual character and a playful lightness that allow the audience to observe and experience the smallest changes and most subtle movements.
